16-Year-Old Amazes Crowd With 100m Sprint Victory

During the recent National Youth Athletics Meet held in Kuala Lumpur, 16-year-old Amirul Hafiz shocked spectators by breaking the national under-18 record in the 100m sprint. Clocking in at 10.43 seconds, Amirul not only won gold but also drew the attention of national scouts.

"It’s just the beginning. I hope to represent Malaysia on the world stage soon," said Amirul in a post-race interview.

His coach credited the victory to Amirul’s discipline and recent changes in training routines, focused on explosive starts and mental conditioning. The win places Amirul on the fast track for selection in the ASEAN School Games.
